If you consider the quantity and complexity of your nonphysical energies (mind, thoughts, emotions, feelings, motivations, behaviors, likes, and dislikes), and that every human being has more or less the same quantity and complexity, then add into the equation all the possible interactions of all the energies of all people in your organization, the complexity exceeds that of a space shuttle. In fact, the space shuttles were created by and with human, nonphysical, Quantum Energies. That is its primary source of energy, not the electricity in its batteries or the fuel in its tanks.

So yes, they are complex. But they obey laws and principles, those of Cause and Effect. These are understandable and controllable. Furthermore, we can trace the root cause of all the nonphysical energies (emotions, thoughts, and behaviors) down to just three fundamental energies that make up the energy nucleus of every human spirit. Your understanding of the importance of energy systems, and of understanding life and organizations in terms of energy and energy systems is critical to your success in life. The human being—the being or spirit part, not the body—is an energy system. This system is not physical energy; it is nonphysical or human Quantum Energy, but no less important or any less powerful—quite the contrary.

The human Quantum Energy system, the individual person, is the most powerful energy system that exists. It created all other man-made energy systems, and is the basic “chip” or “circuit” that comprises and operates all other man-made energy systems, including your organization, your community, and your family, for example. The human Quantum Energies create and operate all groups and organizations, which in turn create and operate all tools, instruments, and machines, from a simple hammer, to a can opener, to a nuclear reactor, to a spaceship.

Understanding that the human Quantum Energy system (mind, emotions, and behaviors) is a coherent system is important. It is not just a collection of unconnected, unrelated, accidental, or randomly occurring energies. All energies, both physical and Quantum, operate according to exact laws and principles. Everything that happens and exists in the Quantum Energy system of every person is pure Cause and Effect. You may not be responsible for the events of your professional and personal life, however you are always at choice to be either Effect or at Cause. Power in life begins with creating Self as a being of Cause.

The basic software of a computer is called the operating system. The operating system is a general program that tells all the rest of the computer how to function and behave. Examples of operating systems include Microsoft Windows 3, 95, 98, 2000, XP, and Vista; Linux; DOS; MAC; and UNIX. Once the operating system is installed and working you can install other programs called applications on top of the operating system. However, the operating system is the basic control system; it controls both the hardware and the applications.

GIGO—Garbage In, Garbage Out—is a law in computation. It means that if your program input to the computer system has errors in it (garbage), you will get errors (garbage) out of the system. As an operating system consists of many thousands, even hundreds of thousands of lines of code, errors and flaws, “garbage programming,” are common. Anybody with even minimum experience of Windows and its constant updates to correct flaws has lived this. If you have used a computer much, you remember how the earlier versions of Windows were plagued with the famous “blue screen of death,” indicating that you had to reboot the system. You have also probably heard of, if not personally experienced, what viruses, spyware, worms, and trojans can do to a computer. All of these are different forms of negative energies in the computer system, and all produce conflicts, problems, and stoppages.

People work very much the same way. They have an operating system in their being and mind, and it has flaws and “garbage.” Every human being has a set of fundamental ideas about how life works. The Human Operating System (HOS) includes ideas, beliefs, and values about many things, including self, others, love, happiness, family, relationships, money, and work. The HOS is also the seat of self-image, self-esteem, character, and personality, among other things. It is a data bank that holds our rules and programs of how to operate our life, including our internal energies, such as thoughts and emotions, and our dealings, communications, and reactions to others.

Human Operating Systems around the world have many basic “lines of code” shared by almost all people. For example, the vast majority of us put a high value on money and family. However, great differences also exist. You can see these differences by studying different cultures, as each culture has its unique code. An American, a Jordanian, a Mexican, and a Russian will sometimes behave very differently in the same situation. These differences in both feeling and behaviors have been “programmed” into their operating systems since childhood.

All of our negative emotions, negative thinking, behaviors, and relationship conflicts occur because of GIGO; we have garbage in our HOS. We suffer in life because of major errors, flaws, and viruses in our basic programming of how life works—how our mental, emotional, and relationship energies work. Life and human beings are not designed and do not need to operate with negative energy.

Autonomy: The ability to take a lead on a project, working independently if necessary, and allowing others to do the same.

Ego spells the death of autonomy.

First of all, in a state of negative energy you are not operating in Wisdom, Power and Esteem. Secondly, as a leader, if you are operating in a dictator mentality you will destroy good relations, cooperation, and support. Because of the innate desire to experience happiness, people will seek to preserve and expand their inner state of Self. Therefore, they will resist the leader’s ego, which tries to reduce their sense of Wisdom, Power and Esteem. They will resist openly if they can, and covertly through sabotage if they can’t. Since ego activates ego, people often get into ego struggles, which often show up as a power struggle. Ego then, is all forms of intent to elevate a diminished state of Self, not be ‘polishing’ your inner Self, increasing your personal excellence or achievement, but by invalidating others. Ego is all efforts to increase ‘who you are’, not be expressing more Wisdom, Power or Esteem, but by trying to ‘steal’ these from others.

Your creations of your Self are subtle energies, but they are the most powerful things in your life. They begin and determine your thoughts, beliefs, actions, and therefore all other aspects of your life. Energytic leaders, such as Barack Obama, understand that to the degree that people are in positive energy, they will happily contribute their time, energy and other resources to achieve the end result. To the degree that people are unhappy, they will express that unhappiness in the form of negative energy, injecting it into the energy system, in this case our country. In organizations operating in positive energy, synergy will show up as autonomy evidenced by Obama and Biden. In an organization operating in negative energy, it will show up as sabotage, evidenced by McCain and Palin.

As the negative energy continues to fester and grow within the McCain Campaign the devastating results are becoming even more apparent. More and more campaign staff are ‘leaking’ information to the press about internal conflicts and blame. As everyone moves to protect themselves, their futures and their reputations they are moving to distance themselves from the organization. Everyday, more and more Republicans are coming out in support of the opponent- many struggling to hold on to their current constituencies. The intensity of the organizational negative energy has created a loss in commitment. There are reports of internal polarization as staff members prepare to point fingers in the event of a loss- a loss that most of the McCain staff believes is more likely than not. We see this in businesses frequently. A lack of commitment creates high rates of turnover, negative attitudes and a lack of cooperation among staff.

Yes, this writer also believes that McCain will lose. He will lose because in the absence of commitment, the internal dynamics of the organization have fractured. In this case, the intensity of the collective negative energies has created a team climate of sabotage, rebellion and indifference to the mission. The basic unit of power of any organization is the individual. If that energy is negative, universal principle dictates that organizational results will be negative as well. Visit www.ebookobama.com for your free download.

Yesterday 100,000 people showed up for a rally for Barack Obama in St. Louis, MO. On the same day 7,000 people showed up to listen to John McCain in North Carolina. This has been a constant theme that has played itself throughout this campaign period. This has been the basis of the McCain’s Camp’s assertion of Obama as ‘celebrity’- somehow inferring that this is undesirable. While I understand how the word is used I decided to check the actual meaning in the dictionary.

Definition: the state of being famous

Using this definition, the natural conclusion could be that both men are celebrities- with the international attention focused on this election, are they both not known to all around the globe? And yet the McCain camp may be on to something. If Obama fits the bill of ‘celebrity’, in stark contrast to McCain (by his own insistence), then by inference, perhaps McCain may be its opposite- ‘infamous’.

Definition of Infamous: Having an extremely bad reputation

Like energy attracts like energy. Energytic leaders understand that the positive energy of hope, passion, enthusiasm, confidence, affinity and collaboration brings out the innate positive energy that defines who we are. The negative energy of anger, fear, and hatred creates conflict, blame and less than desirable results.

The difference in numbers of people showing up at these rallies are a direct result of the attraction of the internal energies of these two leaders.

Perhaps Energytic leaders should strive for celebrity status.

In order for employees to perform at peak potential, employees must be in a state of positive energy. The ultimate motivation for all of us is to be happy, to feel good about ourselves. Every thought, every action, every behavior, has as its intent the belief that the end result will somehow bring us closer to happiness. Every person has an innate desire to perform and to perform well. We have a desire to express ourselves creatively. As children we are encouraged to do that. Observe children at play. As we mature in age, that innate desire for creative expression does not go away. Now as managers, we can subdue those desires - dictator managers are expert at this. I was one such manager. For years I managed by harassment and intimidation. Because my results were ok, the feedback I received was ok so there was no motivation to change my management style. What I have discovered now is that when I created a work environment that encouraged empowerment, creativity and initiative – not only did morale dramatically increase, so did productivity.
