Autonomy: The ability to take a lead on a project, working independently if necessary, and allowing others to do the same.
Ego spells the death of autonomy.
First of all, in a state of negative energy you are not operating in Wisdom, Power and Esteem. Secondly, as a leader, if you are operating in a dictator mentality you will destroy good relations, cooperation, and support. Because of the innate desire to experience happiness, people will seek to preserve and expand their inner state of Self. Therefore, they will resist the leader’s ego, which tries to reduce their sense of Wisdom, Power and Esteem. They will resist openly if they can, and covertly through sabotage if they can’t. Since ego activates ego, people often get into ego struggles, which often show up as a power struggle. Ego then, is all forms of intent to elevate a diminished state of Self, not be ‘polishing’ your inner Self, increasing your personal excellence or achievement, but by invalidating others. Ego is all efforts to increase ‘who you are’, not be expressing more Wisdom, Power or Esteem, but by trying to ‘steal’ these from others.
Your creations of your Self are subtle energies, but they are the most powerful things in your life. They begin and determine your thoughts, beliefs, actions, and therefore all other aspects of your life. Energytic leaders, such as Barack Obama, understand that to the degree that people are in positive energy, they will happily contribute their time, energy and other resources to achieve the end result. To the degree that people are unhappy, they will express that unhappiness in the form of negative energy, injecting it into the energy system, in this case our country. In organizations operating in positive energy, synergy will show up as autonomy evidenced by Obama and Biden. In an organization operating in negative energy, it will show up as sabotage, evidenced by McCain and Palin.

How does one find a way to successfully engage and work together with team
members that have egos similar to the manager, and are out to destruct productive, self driven employees at all cost?

Thank you for your post. Your best course of action (and your only effective one) is to recognize that your point of power begins with you. We may not be able the dictate the circumstances that we encounter (Effect) but we can always choose how to respond to these events (Cause). People who operate with a dictator mentality are unhappy people who’s internal experience is of powerlessness and poor self-worth. While they may be unwilling to work on increasing their personal energies, you certainly can work on yours. In doing so, you increase the overall energy climate of the organization. Use this situation as an opportunity to increase in personal power. Begin by allowing others the SPace to be as they are. By not resisting the situation, you do not add more negative energy to an already negatively charged situation. Begin to think, not necessarily in terms of good and bad, but in terms of negative and positive. Recall that everything has Consequences. Observe the consequences of those who operate in negative energy. What are the positive results? What are the negative results? Consider your consequences should you choose to also respond in negative energy. As you make the decision to grow in personal power, you become an agent and an example of positive change for those around you. Like Energy Attracts Like Energy. Your continued positive energy will begin to diffuse a negative climate. Once this process begins, others will follow your leads.
